What's so Great About the Billie Razor?
You have probably seen multiple influencers raving over the Billie razor on social media, but have you wondered if it’s actually worth the purchase? I decided to try it out and review it on my own. It would be nice to not pay a “pink tax” for a razor that actually works and isn’t an eyesore. This post is not sponsored by Billie and all thoughts are my own.
First, you choose from five colors:
Next, they ask you how often you shave, and they will send out shipments as often as you need them. Each shipment will have 4 razor blade replacements, and you can change this as needed. They will then ask if you want to”complete the set” with their shave cream and travel case. This is where they got me. The travel case is pretty dang cute and I needed shave cream anyway! I don’t normally spend $8 on shave cream, but I wanted to fully investigate for research purposes ;). Other options include purchasing their face wipes($9) and body lotion($12). I assume that they make most of their money on these add-on items since they have a decent upcharge for products I can find cheaper at several stores.
I got my products in the mail a few days later. They also threw in a free face wipe sample which I thought was a nice touch! First, I tried the razor with the shave cream. At first, I didn’t feel like the shave was as close as with other razors I have tried. The blade seemed to be slipping…….BUT, then I figured out why. The razor blade itself is encased with a charcoal shave soap, which eliminates the need to use shave cream for the first 4-5 shaves! Once I figured that out, it was a game changer. I’m not sure if its the size of the blades combined with the angle or what, but I have never used a better razor than the Billie razor. My legs feel baby soft and I literally got done shaving so fast! I totally was not expecting to love this razor as much as I do. The subscription is absolutely worth it, for just the razor and the blades, but the accessories are nice to have too! I have to say, I am a customer for life.
