Spicy Italian Fusilloni Pasta with Burrata
Ingredients:
16oz package of fusilloni
16oz package mild ground italian sausage
Tbsp olive oil
salt
pepper
red pepper flakes
1/2 Tbsp oregano
2 Tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic
15oz can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
fresh parsley
fresh basil
burrata
shredded parmesan cheese
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet on medium high heat. Add Italian sausage, pepper and red pepper flakes to taste until browned. Remove from pan and set aside. Wipe out pan and add 2 Tbsp butter. Add garlic and cook until aromatic, about 1-2 minutes. Add tomato sauce, heavy cream, salt and pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste. Stir to combine and heat through. Add cooked pasta noodles and sausage into the pan and stir to coat. Mix in a handful of fresh parsley and parmesan cheese. Top with burrata and drizzle with olive oil. Heat through until warm, and add additional parmesan and red pepper flakes to taste. Top with fresh basil and serve.
