72 Hours in Vegas

what we did

It was wedding weekend in Vegas for my boyfriend’s sister and I had such an amazing time! We had the first night to ourselves to do whatever we wanted so we decided to go out on the strip and explore the busy streets of Las Vegas. It's insane how busy it is every night, even on a Thursday. We of course took plenty of pictures, and did a ton of sightseeing. I’m not much of a gambler, so I didn’t partake, but I definitely watched a little! I was hoping to catch the Bellagio fountain display, but we got there a few minutes too late as it ended at midnight, so I guess I'll have to wait until I go back! I would love to visit again for a longer period of time with a group of friends, maybe on my 30th birthday coming up in a few years.

The next day we checked into our new hotel and I had a little pool time while he finished up some wedding errands, and then we went to the rehearsal dinner at Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca which was INSANELY delicious. The weather in Vegas is definitely hot(90-100 degrees) during the day since we went in May, but it cools off at night and is comfortable by 6 or 7 PM. We had a few drinks after dinner but didn't stay out super late since we had a long day of wedding activities the next day.

Saturday was wedding day/night which started at 6:30pm so we were able to have a little pool time in the morning before the ceremony started. The wedding venue was at the Revere Golf Club, and was probably the most beautiful wedding ceremony I’ve been to! The sunset was right behind the wedding arch and the view was STUNNING.

where we stayed

We had the first night to ourselves and we stayed at the Bellagio in one of their newly renovated king suites, and it was amazing! The bathroom was to die for and the bed is SO comfortable. It's located right on the strip and of course has the famous fountain out front. I would totally stay there again and highly recommend it! I would say the price point for a stay there is kind of right in the middle- it's not super expensive but also not the cheapest place to stay in Vegas.

The next few nights we stayed at our wedding block room at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson, which is just outside of Vegas. Its both a hotel & casino, just like most other hotels in Vegas, and the resort is massive and gorgeous with a European-inspired aesthetic.
